Description
Garden design in Beaufort is always interesting. This is at the Milton Maxcy House, or better know as Secession House, as the secession ordinance was signed here. History is everywhere in Beaufort, South Carolina. Fortunately it was occupied during the Civil War ( or the War of Northern Aggression) so it was not destroyed, as were many other great cities, such as Charleston, which was basically burned to the ground by Union forces. Today this great structure is a private residence.
