Description
A special pink hollyhock. There is a special place I like to visit, between Ridgeland and Beaufort, near Coosawhatchee. It is a short road that leads from the main highway down a path between old oak trees that goes to the Thomas Heyward monument. It is peaceful. Lovely and no one seems to go there except me. It is the place I spotted the fox whe it started raining and I took a picture of it while driving the car...not very fast of course, just barely moving. Bu it laughed and laughed at spotting a fox in the day time and actually getting a shot of it. Ot a very good one but still a recognizable photograph.
A the end of the short road is a walled in area. Where Thomas Heyward is buried along with several relatives. It is on a small knoll over looking a beautiful marsh area and has numerous oak trees and other small bushes and plants. One day I went down there and sat awhile, walked around awhile and listened to the wind in the trees and felt really peaceful and in tune with nature and then on the way back, just at the road, there was a large hollyhock bush in full bloom. I stopped and took a few photos, must have been after a rain. It might even have been that day of the fox. I love that short road. I always see new things every time I visit.
