Description
I actually was stopped at the bridge to Harbor island as this boat came through on it's way back to the dock. I got out and watched her glide through the space left by the opened bridge and then dashed down to the dock, watched them steer her in and watched them unload their catch. I love these boats. There is something rough and romantic about them. The fact is it is hard work. They rise before dawn, make their way through the marsh and out to the ocean, then drop their nets and go through the water scooping up shrimp, crabs and whatever else is down there. Many times they can be spotted with flocks of gulls flying with them and dolphins trailing behind, hoping for some tasty snacks.

I love the shrimp boats, too. There truly is something romantic about them. I am glad to see that there are still reminders out there of this dying activity. So nice to see a wonderful capture of it so we have visions of them for years to come.

That is some seriously thick and healthy marsh grass! This is a lovely composition and you have brought out the beauty of the moment :o)
