Description
One day I was driving along a road in Port Royal and the sun reflecting on water caught my eye. I went around the way and parked, to find a marsh walk and egrets eating. Lots of egrets nesting. I was fascinated and walked around taking several photos and enjoying the close up of marsh, trees, birds and such. I happily went home with photos of the delightful place tucked in a neighborhood of the small town.
The next day I looked at Beaufort Online to see what was going n in the area and there on the front page was an article about people saying a huge alligator should be carted out of this place. Eeek! I had just been there walking around, focusing in the darn birds and had not one thought of alligators.....even thought have lived here long enough and know one must know there can be alligators in any waterin South Carolina.
The next day I went back hoping for a shot of an alligator! Instead I got these interesting photos of the Cyprus trees within the marsh.
