I have always liked the side door of this building. The Rhett Gallery has been around for a long time. The street preachers have targeted it over the years, Movie stars and regular folks alike drop in and have a look at generations of art work. This is on West Street, right off of Bay Street, Beaufort South Carolina, that sultry place where The Prince of Tides, The Big Chill and several other movies were made.
if you visit make sure to go down West Street and have a look at the many fine shops and a restaurant or two, plus the farmers market is held on this side street. Rosa's Beauty Bar is long gone though. I loved that little shop which was many years ago , a beauty shop. I tried to rent it from the man who owned the building but he wanted to keep it for ..storage, of all things. Oh make sure to visit Kitty's Garden Shop and you can even have your tennis racket restrung there:-) Beaufort is one heck of a wonderful place.
