Description
I have to stop when ever I am going near this spot ..a peaceful dirt road leading to Thomas Heyward's grave. I once captured a quick and dirty photo of a fox, fuzzy, crooked photo, that I took driving down this road in the rain of all things. I spotted the fox and had to try and get a photo, through the windsheild even. Of course it turned out a terrible photo but I keep it and look at every once in awhile and laugh just like I did when I saw that beautiful red fox. This spot is a favorite of mine. It's is gorgeous from beginning to end...with Thomas Heywards grave, along with some family members. You look our over the marsh back there and I imagine it hasn't changed much from the beginning of our country, when he signed the Declaration of Independence. And then,as only in the South, next to the stone walls and tomb stones, there is a mobile home back there where someone lives. Their dog growled at me one time I was back there...dogs, the thing photographers have to watch for. He was tied up, thank goodness. This is near Ridgeland also near the house where I regularly find the blue truck..look around through my photos and you will see it.
